How to Handle Luggage
So you’re hitting town at 10am but you can’t check into your lodging until 4pm. If you’re staying in a hotel, it may provide storage. But if it doesn’t or you’re staying in a short-term rental, what are your options? These folks are ready to save the day.

National Museum of African American Music
Pay to tour the museum and they’ll hold your luggage for free–even if you want to roam elsewhere after visiting the museum. (Just return before closing time.) The museum is located on the main floor of the mega-complex Fifth and Broad so very convenient for lots of activities. Admission for adults is $26.95.
Here’s how it works: pay for a pair of drinks at this bar/restaurant/music venue near The Gulch and they’ll hold your luggage for free. This spot is also the transportation hub for JoyRide. They can hook you up for a sightseeing tour or group transportation via their diverse fleet including golf carts, monster trucks, and tour buses.
Baggage Specialists
I love the playful name. No physical location; they come to you. Then they handle pick-up, storage, and drop-off. The minimum charge is $85; get a quote via the website. No additional charges for drop-off or pick-up within a 3-mile radius of Bridgestone Arena. Airport pick-up/drop-off is available for an additional $40 fee. Sorry, they can’t transport people.
Arrange for pick-up or drop off a bag at their spot (2nd Avenue and Broadway, $10/suitcase). Or connect with their mobile pick-up/drop-off. An example: Pick-up/hold/drop-off for 6 bags is $95. Airport runs available.
Multiple drop-off points include The Gulch, Germantown, Midtown, the Arts District, and Fisk/Meharry. Book online or through their app. Rates start at $5.90/bag for 24 hours. NOTE: Luggage is stored at existing businesses such as beauty shops and retail stores so make sure they’re open when you want to pick up or drop off your bags. Also, verify on their map that the location you’re choosing is convenient for you; their downtown location is actually half-mile from downtown.
aka as Nashville Luggage Storage. Similar to Bounce, you book online and drop at the best location: Downtown, East Nashville, or Midtown. Same cautions as noted above. FYI, it’s the only place I’ve found with an established East Nashville drop-off point. Rates start at $7.95/item.
A search for “Nashville” identified three current locations–a hotel near the Greyhound Bus Station (SoBro area), a shop near Vanderbilt/Hillsboro Village, and a shop near Centennial Park (West End). Rates from $6.
Popular in Europe, this vender has only one current partner–Cumberland Transit (a bike shop/outfitter)–on the west side of Vanderbilt University. It would be convenient if you’re staying near Centennial Park/West End. Hmm, website seems glitchy.
Located near Broadway on 1st Avenue, N. Day storage is $18 for a regular-size bag. No overnight service. Reservations required. Discounts for 10+ bags.
Only one drop-off in Nashville at this time–a shop one block from Centennial Park. That’d be convenient for people staying in the West End and maybe Midtown corridors. Rates: $6.95 and up.
